I have been actively employed as a Unix system administrator, system architect and manager since 1985.
My work history between 1985 and 1994 included all major flavors of Unix, with a concentration on HP-UX. I discovered Linux in 1994, and have been actively promoting and using it since that time.
I put Red Hat Linux systems into production in 1997 and presented on them at HP World in 1998. Starting with my employment at Bank One in 2002, I have been focused almost exclusively on Red Hat's enterprise Linux offerings. Within the bank, I have functioned as the Engineering Lead for the GTI Linux Engineering Team for the last 4 years. During that time I have lead the redesign of the back end processes involved in deploying the Linux Standard Build within the corporate data centers.
For the last 2 years my primary focus within the team has been on interfacing with vendors, internal customers and management.
